Device Builder Socket Spacing

Recommended Posts

This has happened a couple of times now, but it seems that out of nowhere, my socket spacing will change and no amount of restarting is able to revert it. For reference, I've attached photos of my desired spacing, the spacing that now appears anytime I create a new device, and my device builder settings. It looks like the minimum width is no longer applying as well.

I can't confirm, but this has happened twice now and both times I think it was after I created a Aviom D800 device (slightly customized). Might be a coincidence but maybe not?

Any solutions to revert my document to go back to the correct settings? I'm relatively new to CC so not sure where in the class settings to dig in. Thanks!

Hello @jmontgomery,

This looks like a grid scale issue. Have you changed you snap grid settings before this started happening? If so, know that it is not recommended to change the snap grid in the middle of the project, as it affects the objects scaling in ConnectCAD.

Could you send me a sample file showing the problem so that I can check what is going on?

Thanks,

Nikolay Zhelyazkov

Thanks for the reply! That would make sense 🙂 I messed around with my snap settings and the device builder preferences and was able to get it back to how it should be.

Just in case it's something else, here's the file I've been working with.

Appreciate the help!

- I have created one device with the device builder in your file and it seems to be looking good. I suppose you have attached the file after you have fixed the snap grid?
