Hello all I am trying to create a wall area report and I would like to do it per floor but I seem to be having an issue with the Criteria. I have listed all of the wall styles I want included as well as the layer I would like listed. However when I set the filter to meet "all criteria in this set" nothing shows up. If I set it to meet "any criteria in this set" then other wall style show up that I don't want and judging by quantities it looks like more than one floor is included. I am missing something somewhere, does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you Matt,

Ok I feel like these reports are way to complicated. I am trying to produce a simple wall area report for exterior walls. That part seems easy enough. The report displays the total area of the wall both gross and net at the top of the spreadsheet when in edit mode. When you place the report on the drawing the line containing the total areas is not visible which makes no sense. I want to see the total area. I have tried a work around to recalculate the total area of the walls which seems like it should be a simple =b1+b2+b3+b4+b5 but this function disappears once entered? What am I missing? Understandably the functionality and customization in Vectorworks is huge but I would like to see some processes streamlined.

What are your experiences with doing wall area take offs within a worksheet. I see that it calculates the length of a wall from the center line points. Has anyone dealt with the inaccuracies this affords? For instance, if I have a 10' x 10' room with 6" thick walls, the wall length (which it uses for area) is only 9'-6" long (subtract half the wall thickness each end). Doesn't this cause a problem with rounding area? Do you use a factor to account for this? Do you have any preferred ways of querying the worksheet for the wall data? I can come up with a work around, but others with more experience with this function could really help me save time. Thank you.
