All, What is happening with VW on the AI front? I would love to see some ability to input wall dimensions and/or ceiling heights into a dialog box, and have VW automatically render the basic shell. Leaving the designer more time to focus on the deeper design methodologies. Also, if someone can expound on what Nemetschek or Vectorworks plans are to add AI functionality into the future versions of VW, I would love to see the roadmap. It truly is amazing that AI is here, and I think it will all make our lives easier. Would love to here others thoughts on this. - Ryan

We've been doing some testing on some live projects, with the hopes to move things onto 2019. However disappointingly, we're finding 2019 seems to be significantly slower, with a lot of 'hangups' in between actions. In particular I've been noticing this going through and editing sheets. Doing the same actions in identical files on vwx 2018 (Sp4) is smoother and faster. This is quite the opposite from what we were hoping for! Has anybody else found this?

Hey everyone! I recently saw this thread where someone asked how to import the GLP JDC1 from the vwx file provided here: GLP JD1 Download. Unfortunately, this file only gives me a grey poly-mesh of the actual fixture. I tried importing the fixture from another file using the resource manager but, unfortunately, wasn't able to import anything other than two weird 2D symbols that are definitely not the fixture (see image attached). I also tried updating my Vectorworks to the latest version, including the libraries, in hopes of being provided with a fixture from Vectorworks themselves. As of now, Version 2018 SP4 R1 (Build 435714), there is no GLP JDC1 fixture being shipped with the spotlight library. Could anyone provide me with a file which includes the 2D and 3D object with all attributes? Or tell me if I missed anything when importing the fixture? I attached two pictures. The first one shows the poly mesh and the other one shows the JDC-1.vwx files content's from the resource manager. Any help would be appreciated! Kind regards, Paul JDC-1.vwx

Hi All, We are currently in the process of constructing a complex 3D vectorworks model with the end goal of exporting from Vectorworks to rhino, in order to render in V-ray. Any ideas as how to best construct and export so that the file is as clean as possible, with all appropriate layers, when imported into rhino? KM VW 2016 SP3
