  1. Matt, how do you draw your slope now? Do you have an example(file) for me? preferable a VW11.5...than I can see what you mean, draw it and email the slope-symbol back to you.
  2. take a look at http://en.isymbol.eu These guys know how to import images into a drawing. I even herad that there was a new version available soon: iSymbol-Landscape It's all about trees, bushes, pavements etc best regards
  3. mr. N, of course I can help you! I can send you tons of ACAd files. I also teach VW and have a dayjob as an illustrator and most of my files come (unfortunately) from ACAD. Does it matter that it includes electricity, dashlines, blocks, measuremnets....and Dutch translations (for kitchen: keuken, livingroom: woonkamer etc. (haha) I'll send them to you asap..ok? maybe a nice suggestion: I developed hand drafted CAD symbols for VW-users. (if you like I can send you some for your students to check/use/critisize etc? Take a look at my website (download the 9 which are on there and if you want more, let me know, I'll send them to you. httP://en.isymbol.eu best regards Franklin
  4. I've placed this question also on the general part of this forum and got a good link for it, which is really worth looking at. It is great that this can de doen with our VW! http://en.isymbol.eu laterrr leonardo
  5. that doesn't even show mike. people see the sketch interior and feel the ambiance and do not even look at the shell. Take a look at the site http://en.isymbol.eu/interieur_suggestie.htm and there you see the same: precise shell and sketch interior: it doesn't show. It doesn't take your eyes from the interior. I think if the walls are also 'sketched' it doesn't feel as one...don't you think: it's overdone actually. I made contact with iSymbol and got a 300 dpi image returned: fantastic, which sharpness he can accomplish. He said the final drawings are sometmes used in Plan Developers brochures and they work out smoothly. He send me some of his new features: people...amazing what that does with your drawing. thanks for your info Mike leonardo
  6. THIS IS GREAT! I didn't know that this was even possible in CAD. Just the look I wanted to give to my floorplans. I heared of this already but lost the webadress. Thanx. I just have VW basic. With these symbols I do not need anything else now. the price isn't so bad afterall seeing this is all hand drafted ofcourse. I have to get started. laterr
  7. you are absolutely right, I wright down more info. The symbols I need are for presentational purposes. So windows, doors, etc do not matter (I draw just a rectangle and a line in the middle...and it's a window) I need something more than a square that says: chair. It has to shout: chair. Symbols that have something artistic over them, atmospherical etc. I've seen floorplans that are amazing...but they are drwan by hand. Computer drawings can't tip to that. In 3D every symbol is available....but 2D is left behind, you know! THIS is what I'm sarching for: colored (atmospherical) cars, tables, couches, chairs, beds, bathtubs...etc. I hope that someone can tell me if this is available, somewhere. thanx for you answer, by the way!!! laterrr
  8. hi i need to make floorplans which has to be placed in a brochure (floorplan, attic, garden, garage etc). But I do not have the right symbols...to do this job. Does anyone can help me getting some nice ones? Preferably in color and in scale 1:50: just to make a plan look good. Because if this goes well....he'll be back for more!..;-)) leonardo
