  1. LS Events is a live event production agency working on some exciting UK festivals, sporting events and government projects. We are looking for skilled and detail-oriented draughtspeople who have excellent proficiency in Vectorworks, with a strong understanding of drafting principles. A history and good working knowledge of the events industry is highly desired. The role will involve creating precise and detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on project requirements. The drawings play a crucial role in the developing layouts for event spaces and consideration is required for factors like space utilisation, traffic flow, and design aesthetics. There would be the need for interpretation and translation of rough sketches and specifications into accurate and comprehensive drawings. As our peak season approaches we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, assisting with all of our drawing needs on both current projects and any new tenders that may be of interest to us in the coming months. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsperson to join our dynamic team, where you'll play a crucial role in developing layouts for event spaces, considering factors like space utilisation, traffic flow, and design aesthetics. The role requires the interpretation and translation of rough sketches and specifications into accurate and comprehensive drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of drafting principles, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Vectorworks. Applicants should have: Professional Experience: Demonstrated expertise as a Draughtsperson, with a robust portfolio showcasing a variety of drafting projects, preferably within the events, exhibition, or theatre industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, especially Vectorworks, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of drafting principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and industry standards. Attention to detail: Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality drawings. Spatial Planning and Creativity: Familiarity with spatial planning, traffic flow, and event logistics. Creative mindset with an ability to balance aesthetics and functionality. Communication, Collaboration and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge of construction, manufacturing, engineering processes, event production processes and material is a plus. Flexibility and Availability: Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, to support on-site event setups.
