Hi, I'm having an issue where I'm trying to add a window to a wall but with the exterior trim on the outside. When I drag mouse down to orient the window properly and then let go, the window always reverses to exterior trim on inside. Is a bug or am I doing some thing wrong etc. Thank you in advance. John

Thanks Jim, I was able to find green button by holding mouse over top part of vw screen, but you have to hold mouse there a few seconds for it to show, very confusing. Btw, the green button works properly in vw2014 in yosemite, so it may be a vw 2015 bug? Take care, John

Another question on this topic, if you do go to full screen by clicking green icon, how do you get back to normal screen, I tried alot of key combos, no luck

Hi all, I just downloaded 2015. Setting up desktop I arrange pallettes as desired and click green icon to expand page to maximum size, but it doesn't behave like 2014 it expands to where i can't get access to top section of page and I have to force quit to get out of program. I'm doing something wrong hopefully, any ideas on what? Thanks. John

Hi all, First time needing to work on a deck for a project. I did some research and I notice a plugin Deckworks but it's 400 and I may not need to do a deck again, so I'm looking for any videos, tutorials etc. that would help me figure out how to draw a deck with framing posts, railing decking etc. Thank you in advance. Hi, I'm working on a kitchen design that requires Thermador appliances. I'm used to getting away with generic symbols from the VW libraries and explaining to clients that the purchased appliances will fit in designated area etc. Anyway, I want to learn how to download and import CAD files of appliances and manipulate them into position etc. so they work and look like the supplied library files. First off, on Thermadors website, there a 3 files to choose from; ArchiCAD, Revit and DWG Format. I downloaded the DWG file to my computer (MBP) and imported file into VW using import single DXF/DWG... It does import but is extremely small and when I zoom in it's front is facing me in top/plan view. I'm lost after that and if anybody has any ideas, videos etc. for me to set up these appliances properly, I'd dearly appreciate it. I'm a lite user here working mainly on kitchens, bathrooms etc. with VW2014 and interiorCAD 2014. Thank you, John

Thank you so much for that prompt, worked out but I must say, a little clunky when trying to design cabinets etc around hood the top plan only shows a smaller outline of symbol and when I go to top it's difficult to see outline of hood against all other cabinets etc. Anyway, back to it. Hi, I'm working on a kitchen using latest v. of VW and interior Cad. I imported a range hood symbol into kitchen and in top plan, the symbol fits perfectly. When I go to camera view or section viewport, the range hood is massive and is not centered over stove. I can't figure out how to solve this. Thanks in advance. John, lite user here.

Hi, I'm drawing a room with 2 walls of different heights. I drew all 4 walls of same height and I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the walls to make the angled side walls, any ideas? I did a search but could not find anything, thank you. John

Good morning, I'm looking to find any symbols for fancy corner hutches and built-in entertainment centers. Do you know where I can find any? I'm a very light user of VW 2013 so I'm not experienced with how to look and where etc.. I have the Service Select edition btw. Thank you. John

Thanks to all replies, really appreciated. We'll do some more research but it looks daunting! We did get a quote from a local training center of $27,000 for a 6 month course on Revit. So it looks like she's still working with me in my small company. We do interior design kitchens,bathrooms etc. so she's not getting a good workout with 'Architecture' although it is fun to be creative on a smaller scale. Good morning, My wife, who is an Architect, is planning on going back to work this coming year, after raising 3 kids, and is learning that she will need to know how to use Revit as that is what is used at her previous firm, Centerbrook Architects. She is very good at AutoCad and wants to know if it is an easy transition to Revit or is it a whole new learning curve. I'm a long time user of VW with iCad but only for interior remodeling, kitchens etc. Is VW closer to Revit than AutoCad etc. Any help would be appreciated. Hi, I'm still on 2010 sp4 on a mbp using Snow Leopard and for some reason I can't figure out, the page boundary does not show. It used to and I can't remember doing anything to change it etc. I do have check box for Show page boundary checked in page setup. Is there anything else I should look at? Thanks for any help. John
