  1. Hi Pat, Are there other options to create Window and Door Schedules that allow for flexibility of adding and formatting cells and rows, similar to a spreadsheet?
  2. Hi Pat, Yes I want to insert rows, or Subrows, into this worksheet. Mainly to add headings for the different floor levels and different construction zones. And what is the reasoning for not being able to add subrows? If I can't insert subrows in this worksheet what other window schedule allows this?
  3. Hi, I'm using the Window Schedule w/Images worksheet. I want to insert a row above another one, but the worksheet keeps placing the new row at the top or the bottom of the worksheet. It worked a few days ago where I added the "ADU" labeled row. I'm following the same procedure as described in the help section. Similarly, the cutting and pasting of rows isn't working either. Columns are working fine In addition, when I want to delete one row it deletes all rows. Are these VWX 2026 glitches? Is there a setting I'm not aware of?
  4. I'm in VWX 2026 and am still having the same issue with skylights. I'm adding skylights to a 2D plan and was trying to trick the file into inserting the skylight into an extruded solid and I tried creating a roof. None of this worked. I'm able to insert windows and doors anywhere and with the "Add to schedule" and the ID tag they show up in my schedules. But this doesn't work with skylights. All I want is for these skylights to be included into the Window Schedule, without having to enter them manually. Does anyone have a workaround?
  5. Thank you so much for the explanation and the links! Very thorough. I'll be studying Data Tags next!
  6. I'm using the ID Tags because they're built into the Door and Window tools. Would I have to input all the Window and Door specs into the Data Tags? I have not looked into the Data Tags yet.
  7. Hello, Vectorworks 2026: The Window and Door ID Tags editing issues. WIndow ID Tags: I want to move the tags on the other side of the wall. I can move each individual tag, by dragging them but I want to change the setting so all the tags are in the same default location. I have tried all editing locations but the most obvious, including the offset distance in the OIP. do not allow for the positioning of the ID tags. Is this an issue with VWX 2026? Door ID Tags: Same issue with the Door ID tags. Plus, I can edit each tags font size in the dropdown menu, not in the OIP, but not the font style. The Door ID tags changed styles as I was going along, even though the doors are all in the same class. Is this an issue with VWX 2026? It would be so much better and efficient if the ID tags settings, such as font styles & location can be edited in the OIP. I have spent time digging through the settings and the checking classes etc. but have not been able to solve these issues.
  8. Hi, I've imported a Revit rvt. file into VWX 2025. Several issues I'm seeing right off the bat: 1. Walls are poking through roofs. 2. The 2D plan shows doors as boxes 3. The Sheets Layers and Annotations are missing. Question: What format should the Revit be exported as? We're going to use the file for remodeling purposes, creating 2D drawings and use the 3D model component. I'm wondering if it's easier to import a dwg and then recreate the 3D component in VWX? Your feedback and suggestions are appreciated. thank you!
  9. Drafting is my happy place! My portfolio is available on my Archinect profile. As a Vectorworks Specialist I consult on a project by project basis. I offer drafting and design services ranging in project type from residential to large scale event productions. As a project designer and project manager I have successfully completed high end custom residential whole house remodels, small commercial projects and large scale event production documentation. These are a few project types I have drafted, designed and/or collaborated on: Full home remodels Kitchens, baths, interior and exterior finishes: Historic homes, Midcentury, Modern Small Commercial; interior and exterior finishes Large scale event productions Furniture layout What type of projects do you need help with? I look forward to connecting with you! Thank you, Elly Positive Space Design
  10. Hi Jeff, thank you yes I know this is odd, as if the wall has a memory... It's a file that was imported from another 3D program and I'm rebuilding it in VW 🙂 I will try your suggestion next.
  11. Hello, I've attached a screenshot of a few of these windows. The window sizes were adjusted after placement and it left the previous window size opening in the walls. Why is this occurring and how can I correct this? Thank you!
  12. Thanks all for your comments. I figured I would need to either build a custom stair or model it from scratch.
  13. Hello, I have attached a screenshot of a stair i'm developing. I want to add 2 intermittent landings in the curved section of the stairs, screenshot attached with the landings in blue, in the OIP I do not see an option for adding a landing. Neither in the Geometry, Genereal or Construction tab. Is anyone familiar with this design challenge? Thank you!

  15. Hello Bart, Thank you so much for this explanation! I did not know about the 3-dot menu options. This solved the rotation. For the carpet, I found a texture that looks good in 3D. In 2D it reads as too dark and saturated. I am having the same issue with other textures. Is there a way to make these textures more transparent? Or is there a way to lighten them? Thank you! Elly PS: I recently created hybrid symbols so am familiar with how they work. I can test it out with the carpet. However I would like to be able to replicate the carpet and wood flooring across multiple files and structures as they have multiple levels and shapes. Not sure yet what the best way to tackle this is.
