Would like some general information on stairs, ie: They are placed on the lower floor, yes, so why does the top flight always end up with an up arrow? Can a stair be seen in isometric, it seems to disappear when in 3D wireframe. How to get them to display correctly ie. the up and down flights? Handrails seem to ignore extend dimension settings and don't extend same dimension in plan. Thanks,

Guys, I think the question has been sidestepped. Where can I find out everything that VW knows about BIM?

Interesting conversation. I have been asked to support an effort to provide BIM information to a large institution here in Philadelphia. Having attending Robert Anderson's presentation on BIM technology and VW I assumed that a search of topics would be yield copious amounts of information - search didn't recognize the term 'BIM".

I am trying to convert a drawing file to DWG for use by my engineering consultant who will need to change the design and add additional information to meet local codes and regulations. As yet, we have not been able to come up with a conversion that allows this level of access to my drawings. First question - is this impossible or just difficult? I'm running VW12.5, consultant is using AutoCad 2006. I have tried to export using VW v12.5, 12.0 . I'm using export to DXF/DWG, converting symbols to groups and ungrouping (or not) from within the model layer, classes visible as needed, DXP export set to classes, all 3D boxes checked with exceptionof 'decompose 3D symbols and groups', line colors not used. Export layers only selected. All 2D boxes checked. I am finding that the user is not able to select drawing components - consultant responds drawing appears to be 'write only' and all objects are grouped. I would really appreciate some help with this. Thanks, Ed

After years of using hatches in VW, I am still remarkably confused on where they come from. If one were to look at the index for hatches there would be no mention of how to import them and establish a library which I have done in the past and now find impossible. Anyone out there know how to find and import the mother load of hatches?

I'm using MacOS10.2.8 and VW10.5 and have found that my cloud tool works occasionally, usually after restarting. At this point it doen't work at all. Is this a reported bug, would an update solve the problem or maybe a preference setting?
