Thank you for your reply and sorry for not explaining more, i did make a Vectorworks symbol from the DWG, but after that it doesn't seem to work properly.

This is why i would like to get a video of the process, if that's possible.

I have been trying to converting DWG files of Truss into valid truss symbol, and i can't seem to get it to work properly.

i would love if someone can please help me with that issue.

I'm adding a file here with two different DWG symbols, a straight truss and a circle truss.

I want the truss symbol to have 2D and 3D components.

If someone could please make a video of the whole process, i would appreciate that greatly.

 

I'm on Vectorworks 2023 with Braceworks

i don’t mind doing it like the first option, I just can’t find the way to do it right

in the truss report:

1. Truss position name

2. Length 

3. Truss model

4. Summary of all truss

 

in the hoist report:

1. Hoist ID

2. Hoist model (500kg D8+)

3. Summary of all hoist

i’m using vectorworks spotlight 2022,

and I’m wondering if there is a way to make a report of:

truss position name with length, manufacturer, model name.

and underneath that a hoist summary 

 

it doesn’t have to be linked to each other 

 

I just wont to make summary of all the truss and hoist on the job in one page.

Hay everyone,

i have some issues with placing fixture on a vertical truss, and it's something new because i did not had that problem before.

When i came to a vertical truss from a front view withe a lighting fixture and place it on the truss' the truss was painted purple and than all i needed to do is make the second click for the alignment. 

now all i get is the red line like i am on a horizontal truss and the fixture is hang inside the truss.

i hope someone can help me to get to the right setting.

i have a question about the instrument summery tool (symbol key) in vectorworks spotlight. 

when i'm using the "data visualization tool" i can color the fixture very fast and very nice, but when i go to make the symbol key the color of the fixture is not shown, instead there is a list with color square and the name from the "data visualization tool".

is there a way to make the fixture symbol in the symbol key list with the color from the "data visualization tool"?

hi

can anyone tell me why there are no HD truss in the eurotruss library, only FD truss.

in the company i'm working there are only HD truss and every time i need to change the weight of

the truss so it will give me the right weight of all the truss system.
