Thanks a lot. Created a new object that way. Now that it's in the library, I can click on it and insert it but I can't see the image with the other thumbnails. Is this a class/layer issue? I know the object by the name but it would be nice to see the actual object. Thanks

Is there a way to scale objects already in the library. The recessed light fixture object is too large and I'd like to decrease its size by 25%. Or do I just have to make another object of the correct size? Thanks.

Once I have a wall in a drawing, is there a way to edit the line weight. Can't seem to do this in the "object info" box or by "eyedropping" the properties from another wall. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I did not have an object selected and it still pops back to the thicker line weight. Any other suggestions. Other files don't do this. I don't know what I changed accidently to make this happen. Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!

I am having trouble changing the line weight default in a drawing. Everytime I try to do it, once I draw a new line, it jumps back to a .40 mm weight (too thick). I've tried using the attributes palette but no success. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello, I got a new laptop and want to install my vectorworks program on it. When I try to launch it I get a message saying the BCGCBPR064.dll was not found. I've tried reinstalling but it doesn't work. Help! Thanks Dean

Can anyone help me draw dimensions in the appropriate scale when I draw details. They always end up being too large when I draw at 3/4" or 1 1/2" scale. Thanks!

I assigned numbers to my doors but forgot to start with 01,02, etc. Now my schedule reads out of order and even though I went back and changed the number, I can't get the schedule to recalculate in the correct order. It keeps telling me that there is already a schedule that exists in the drawing. I tried deleting it and starting over but that doesn't work. Help!

Whenever I'm in the text mode and want to return to 2d select, obviously, when I hit "x", it types "x" in the text box. I then have to go to the "select" button. Is there a way to change this keystroke (like "esc" in Autocad, since I have to use both). Thanks a lot! Dean

I tried uninstalling one of the v.11 programs to save memory (for some reason, there were two programs installed for version 11.). The remaining one now tells me there is a corrupt or missing file and to reinstall the program. I tried but I can't figure out which file to load it into. So far I haven't chosen the correct one because I get the same message when I launch the program. When I try to just put it into the Vectorworks 11 file (instead of "plugins" "templates" etc. it tells me that it can't do that. Help! By the way, I tried uninstalling the program and it won't allow me to do that either.

Thanks for all of your replies. I did hunt down the extra doors using the methods listed in the other strands. The sorting is still a mystery but the addition of the 0 before the single digit numbers solved most of the problems. I still have a couple of doors I can't find and so I just drew an opaque rectangle over those two entries. Is there anyway to add comments individually to these entries? Thanks again. Dean

I've tried the suggestions posted in the past threads but still no success. The numbers are still out of order with the double digit ones first. One suggested turning on the sorting by option but I couldn't find out how to do that. It seems to be sorting by number anyway. The 0 before the single digits and the space before those numbers both did not work. Also, I have duplicate entries for the same doors. How do I delete them? Any other suggestions? Thanks! Hi, I've tried the suggestions like adding a space or "0" in front of the single numbers but I still get the double digit numbers before the single digit ones. I've tried changing the listing preferences but I can't seem to find out how to do that. I do get a window that I think allows me to change that but the box doesn't seem to display all of the options...help! Thanks

Yes, I have v11. When I resize, all I get is a really long column. I'd like to break it into multiple columns at a certain width...such as 3-06" wide x6" high columns instead of one 6" wide by 18" long column. Thanks!
