Necessity is the mother of invention ...

Thank you !
a lifelong dream becomes reality ...
although... erection & fabrication is probably best accomplished within a
secure environmentally controlled structure !

Could be a SheetLayer dpi issue ... and/or a lo-res texture map problem

Usually, I model the inner & outer angles separately and place them as symbols.
This making editing the various runs quick&easy.
This also provides a Library of the various connections for later use... works great with guttering, too.

Give Free Ruler a try:

Keyboard issues are related to :
if wireless> low battery
if USB >bad or flaky USB connector or port > try switching port > check System Profiler
if wired > PRAM battery needs replacement ( may apply to #1 & #2 as well )
Software driver > System Preferences > Keyboard

Not having the time to analyze your work. My first guess is that you have a basic SymbolName conflict working it's way into the process as various Users access the files.
Circular references will exhibit similar confusion.

1) Model> individual tile > create >Symbol
pro: efficient , easily modifiable
con: requires different symbols for each part
2) Model > individual surface > create >Symbol
pro: efficient , easily modifiable, avoids many of the parts problems
con: requires specific surfaces for the various configurations.
3) Use a Texture > map > Image of roof + bump map of surface
pro: easy to apply
cons: strange & often fake looking details.
4) Use a combination of the above
pros: models details accurately with Symbols , uses textures for the surfaces.
here's an older version example of the techniques :

To conserve the batteries... turn-off the Magic Mouse when not in use.
Over all the lightweight MM is a real joy to work with ... especially the way it scrolls and clicks with a caressing of the finger.

Good question...

I am on a mac, and have no good way to trouble shoot the problem.

You appear to be experiencing multiple issues:
1) Printer Driver
2) PDF Reader
Make sure that you have the correct and most recent Printer Drivers installed and selected prior to ExportPDF. Also, give VW> PrintToPDF a try... what happens ?
Adobe Reader may require a re-install to obtain the missing or invalid plug-ins which it requires to perform its magic.
Try VW > Import>PDF ... what happens ?

Just ask Wikipedia about the benefits of SVG import/export/display.
VW could've jumped on this a long time ago.

Looks like you may have weird fonts issues.
Image > Text_bold.png shows the fonts in your pdf file.
Image > Text_bold2.png shows those fonts copied from the pdf and pasted into a text editor and then standard font Arial plan & bold added as an example.

#1. Probably a Renderworks background created with an Image Texture.
#2. the Clip Object must be 'closed' and 'on top' > bring to front over the object to be clipped.

SVG is my favorite vector format ... but to import into VW you will need to convert SVG to DXF or DWG.

You can also create a static BlueLayer then use Layer option > 'Show Others'.
Add additional DesignLayers as req'd.

for example apple does?t sells different computers to latinamerica and also the prices are the same
Actually, this has not always been the case ... Apple exports via a Reseller ...which configures and prices the products. Apple will not ship directly to areas covered within the Reseller agreement.

Here's an simple example of a SMRF created with v11 uisng Hybrid Symbols and ExtrudeAlongPath for all the components. This structure was fabricated in Texas
and assembled on the island of Anguilla.

This simple process shows us how Nature builds all crystalline structures...

Shutters should be inserted as Hybrid Symbols ...
so be mindful of those insertion origins which can significantly perturb your WallObjects ; )
And ... in my experience shutter design and sizing are specific to each fabricator...
therefore... utilize the suppliers dimensions when possible.

Recalling that VW is dependent on the Document > Page >Origin.
If the Reference File Origin differs significantly from the subordinate Documents referring to it, changes in the Origin can produce similar results.
This is a common problem with Acad imports which utilize the page lower left 0,0 origin .. whereas VW defaults to page center 0,0 origin.
Depending on the page scale this offset can be relatively large.
In this regard allowing Origin flexibility can be both a strength and a weakness.
An Image/3D shapes over a sphere?

Search the Forums for a few earlier postings related to mapping a texture/image to a spheric surface.
The easiest solution is with gores mapping. If you use Photoshop there's a plugin > Flexify which will help with the creation of the gores necessary for the texture mapping ( it will apply any image including a grid ).
VW uses NURBS surfaces for this purpose. The SphereObject included with VW will not map a surface texture... so don't bother with it. Create the NURBS>Gores instead.
It's a challenge ... on the bright side ... Google Earth took a few years to get it right ( compare the historic images for distortion : )
