  1. It sounds like there are various problems with MacOS 14.4.1, but the particular problem on our end (computer rebooting when toggling into Vectorworks) seems to have gone away by having Vectorworks live in its own workspace (or "desktop"). Might be worth a try for others. Basically we are running Vectorworks in Desktop 2 and every other application in Desktop 1.
  2. Two Vectorworks users in our company have been experiencing similar issues with Sonoma 14.4.1 on Mac (laptop). The issue happens when you click or toggle into Vectorworks from another application. Mouse freezes, computer reboots. It happens a few times a day. Been working with our IT service as well as Vectoworks support for a couple weeks, no luck so far.
  3. YES to the previous post. I just purchased Spotlight 2023 and one of the main reasons, if not THE main reason, was creating multiple viewports. Boy was I disappointed when I found out the function is essentially useless. I'm shocked that you can't even choose a sheet layer. Or create a rectangle for cropping. Wow.
  4. I'm now having this same issue using VW 2023 Fundamentals. I had VW installed on a new computer, no version change, and now it's creating the drawing label automatically. The create viewport box looks just like Jeremy's screenshot; no option for automatic drawing labels.
  5. Having the same issue. I found that once the center marks or hole dimensions are created in a random place, they can be dragged to their correct location so that's one way to get past it. Even more strange is that the center marks are mirrored when they are created. What a mess!
  6. Extract command worked. Thank you very much!
  7. Hi - I have a 3D object that is a panel with all kinds of holes and cutouts. I need a useable dxf for the machine shop. When I use the Convert to Lines command I get a 2D version, but all the arcs are made up of little straight line segments. This makes the dxf useless for CNC machining. Is there any way to convert 3D to 2D and maintain smooth arcs? Tracing over the 3D object with polylines will work, but there must be a more efficient way. Thanks!
