I love the sub-classes that I can create to help organize my doc, but I cannot see the entire label in the class dialouge box. I find it strange that I cannot manipulate the size of this box in any way... so when I do want to turn a class on or off I kinda have to guess which one it is... and that really blows....Please let this dialouge box be adjustable

Why don't thngs work the way they are supposed to??? I spend my time to develope a custom color pallette yesterday and then when I get to work this morning the Pallette is wiped clean... so I try to sample the colors I had created yesterday but alas you cannot transfer a sampled color to the custom color pallete.. Some how this is not surprising. Yesterday, anytime I tried to update a gobo projector tool (ie. change the pattern or update the beam spread the color and focus info was wiped clean and I had to re-enter those perameters, which is not a big deal until you have to do 45 instruments. Are these bugs know? or is this planed for some reason? It always seems to be the little things that get me.

By all means YES!!!!

I insert an instrument using the "Instrument insertion tool" and apply a gobo with no pattern nor color and an appropriate focus point. In plan view the box that represents the Gobo and the light point are now nowhere near the insrument that I originally placed it on. Does anybody else have this ploblem?? Is this a Bug that is known or is it just the file??

I would Love to be able to toggle on and off a layer as you are working instead of having to go into the class setup dialouge box. It just seems to make sense. As you are working simply turn off a class, then another, then another then you set a sheet view. PLEASE!!! Talk about a time saver! After all efficeint is what it is all about!

OF Course! shortcut keys...Duh! Thank you very much! I know I can Set a class with the arrow keys but I want to be able turn it off or on a little faster than going thru the dailouge box. any hints???

Three things: 1) I would love to be able to see the entire Class label on the working page, not just the first 17 characters, this way I could use the arrow controls a LOT more effectivly for class assignment as I draw. 2) I would love to be able to toggle the active class on and off some how... maybe there is and I just don't know the short cut. This TOO would make use of the arrow keys and quick visualizations. Mr Grumpy, IF VW11 is all it's cracked up to be go with something that will incorporate the hyperthreading technology..(possibly the new 64 bot dual processors, but I have read comparisons) also if you are going to be using the Open Gl rendering abilities which are pretty sweet go with a top end rendering board...The more memory the better... that goes for RAM also.... give yourself lots of head room.

Oh... and can I ask for the ability to place textures in folders...PLEASE PLEASE!!!! Everything else can be moved to a folder why not textures....you knoww...metals, plain color, woods...

KATIE!!! Any news in the layer control area... the fact that I cannot see the complete layer label ~in the dialouge box of all places~ REALLY puts a kink in the day. Also... I'd love to be able to toggle a layer off and on from the working page not through a dialouge box.

I think I have a similar problem.... I switch to renderworks to look at what I'm got and do the rendering.... then I switch back to plan and it seems as if a couple of my gobos are now nameless. Is this something I can work around. Because it sounds like a tool that HAS to be working if we are expected to use Spotlight and renderworks together. What can we do!!

I don't know if this is what you mean, but doesn't "0" on you keypad get you a plan view???

beams don't really work... gobos and color transperancies you can do... I've never worked with WYSIWYG but one of the things I wish you could do in VW SL is to shutter an instrument and in real time.

Well, this is new. I turn on the SL palete and use the insert instrument tool and select "ETC IMPERICAL 26d source 4" and try to drop it into a drawing and WE CRASH!!! This is a first. I've been using this same system / VW SL for over a year now and have never had this problem. What should I do?? PC 2.8GHZ 512 Ram

Do you have to clip each circle out of the modified rectangle?? Just a thought

Hey everybody! We need to be able to get a very clean 8.5 x 11 drawing to a client via Email. What is the best way to do this? Our client only uses PDF reader to read image docs, so after I export a file in Photoshop and then convert it to a pdf file the print out looks like $%#@. Any suggestions??!?!?

Is there a centeral data base where everybody could be informed of these work arounds... I'm sure other people probally have the same problem

How can I get more information to appear in the "class" dialogue boxes? When I want to change the visability of a class the labels that I have generated are longer than the "text box" area so I have to guess which one I've chosen. It also becomes a problem if I want to change the class of an object. Help I'm sure somebody out there has figured this out. I really don't want to have to create a cheat sheet and have to cross reference evertime.
