I've had VW for 20 years several versions and never had an issue placing windows in roofs. I've followed the direction numerous times and yet whenever I try to place a window symbol specifically created or not I cannot get the dialog box. Mark me frustrated. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you

VW '17--it seems no matter what I do the wall framer tells me that no walls were framed because no walls selected are classes chosen for framing. I've never had this happen before. Or the error returned says there are no walls on selected layer and there clearly is.. Please advise. Thank you.

using VW-Arch 11.5 What is the best way to go about drawing built in cabinet and shelving units. Any help is appreciated.

I've got it. I wasn't thinking in 3D when setting stakes. Very cool stuff. So for anyone needing the same help... I simple set stakes in a 'site design layer' at a chosen Z. I visualized a piece of land with various highs and lows and placed stakes defining those peaks and valleys. The more stakes placed, the more varied the landscape. I used the 'select similar' tool and then chose AEC/Terrain/create site model and voila! THe site settings option in the object menu gives a solid mesh option that makes for a nice confirming look see.

Hello again, What is the simplest way to create a contoured slope? For easy visual effect I had extruded a polygon when establishing design layers/floors. I've deleted that and want to establish a contoured grade. It is arbitrary at this point as the lot hasn't been secured for the house, yet I want to both learn and provide good illustration of potential designs. Thank you

:-) I will endeavor to persevere. I'm making much better use of classes and design layers. Lots of new stuff coming from 11.5. Stories doesn't seem to return expected results, but probably user error. Lots to learn, but it is fun.

Hello folks-- I'm just getting up to speed on Architect 2013 and am stumped. I have inserted doors and windows in this document and now I cannot. Any suggestions? I'm sure it is something simple that I'm missing. I have a wall selected, a door symbol active and the insertion mode up top chosen. What the heck? The door won't 'lock in'. Thanks
