    I'll try that, Thanks Zoomer. I us AS in a lot of notes so construction knows what type of material to use for a fake finish, as in AS METAL JAMB. I have it listed everywhere on a drawing & now it changed to real metal. So I have changed all that I can find but it would be nice to double check with this tool, but it keeps going the the word BASE. I've never had this happen before.

    Just installed SP-3 and when zooming more ghost images are appearing that are not there & objects already drawn disappearing, but everything comes back after zooming. I have the Good Performance & Compatibility setting under Display.

    Any settings suggestions to minimize this ?

    is there a SP3 for VW 2019 ? I have SP2 and says I'm up to date when ever I check it.

    Also, I get symbols disappearing too & can not select then when selecting all items. They come back after closing the file & re-opening it. This happens faster if using a floating view port, which I use to use a lot but now in 2019 can not. This is with any of the graphics settings. And using the middle level of the graphics settings and working on a file for many hours I start getting random objects visible when zooming in & out, even thought they are not really there. That is why I'm hoping for a SP3 for 2019

    Export to SketchUp - 2019 VW

    cberg, I have SketchUp 2018 Pro & can not see the exported file FBX which becomes a 3D Object file. In SU using the import menu it will not recognize the file to import.

    Guess I'm going have to just edit somebody else's SU file to the existing as built conditions which will make it more fun.

    I think I figured it out. It has something to do with the Message Center Bell icon at the top right. My question is why is it needed. I get an email when somebody replies to my post & if it is something important I check it when I get the chance. Is there a way to turn this off?

    I have not noticed this before on my document screen, in the bottom right hand of the document window, a broken circle with a diagonal red line thru it. When I hold the curser over it I get no info on what it is. See screen capture with red circle around it.

    I've contacted Microsoft & they are telling me it is a software issue. This does not happen with any of my other software

    Yes, 2019 is much faster with very little lag time in refreshing & zooming. Really liking it, but having to discover the new issues. The Eye Dropper did keep working for the rest of my work day with no problems, but still having issues with copy & paste. I'll be able to keep trying it for the next 3 weeks on the job I have now working 10 hour days in 2D. So far even with the issues I am having I would recommend it over 2018

    Yes I have checked the preferences, thing is it works sometimes & sometimes not, just like my copy & paste. At first I thought it was my Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard. But same thing happens when selecting the command the the menu bar at the top & from Right Mouse Click. Right now the Eye Dropper is working better than copy paste.

    Anybody else having this problem, when I try to copy & paste a text note all I get when pasting it is

    Is this a Windows 10 issue or VectorWorks 2019 issue ?

     

    This does not happen in Microsoft Word or Publisher

    Custom Tool/Attribute question

    I've always made my own custom tools to reduce clicks on commonly used objects. Like my leader line tool, I have it set for my text class, line weight 5, the line end marker I want, & unconstrained. It has always worked in many previous versions of VW. But the Break line, in the past few versions I can not set it to drawl the leader line at line weight 1 and to be on a certain class. I do everything the same as I do other custom tools & I can see the line weight & class in the custom tool script when trying to edit it from the Resource Browser. There is nothing to edit because it is all listed correct, but VW does not use the listed line weight nor class. I have made other custom tools with no problem, it is just this tool so far that will not work right. Any suggestions?
