  1. Hi Clint, I had to play around with this a lot to figure it out but what I found was that you need to start with the built in high contrast white setting first as the template to change to your colors. That will give you the black title bar, if you don't you end up with purple or blue and possibly the white border you mention. Its not a perfect solution but it looks pretty good. I also noticed that the changes may not get applied fully until you restart or login/logout, I think windows may have to clear out the previous theme maybe. My display is 4k so your results may look a little different from my screen shots but shouldn't be much. Be sure to save the theme when you are done finding your color settings. The blue I used in the example is #49709C, the white is #E8E8E8, disabled text is #B3B3B3, button text #4F4F4F, background is #3D3D3D. Hope this helps.
  2. Hi, I have read a few topics regarding a dark interface for Vectorworks in windows 10. This can be done using the ease of access high contrast option in the personalize section of windows. Its a pretty good option for those of us that may have aging eyes that really have a hard time looking at a nearly white interface all day. It may take a few tries to get what you want but this is a good option to try until vectorworks comes out with an interface overhaul. You do not need to patch any files, just find the colors you like and save as a theme. Do not let the built in preset themes scare you as they are awful, just change the color to what you like. Hope this saves a few eyes. I would be glad to hear about any better options people may have.
  3. No, its not class visibility. When I create several plant objects and combine them into one plant object so that I can add the tag, I may convert them back to individual plants as I work and adjust my plan. The problem is if I am working in a rotated top/plan view on a design layer with no saved views/viewports, all classes on etc., the plants not only disappear but convert to a polygon somewhere else in the drawing, they are not hard to find but I'm pretty sure this must be a bug. I've been using vectorworks since 1999 and know my around it pretty well. Any suggestions about what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated. I've avoided using the landmark features for years because of these sorts of nagging issues. The plant tags don't work in 2017 if i use Quantity-ID but that's for another post I had previously made.
  4. Why do my plants disappear when I change a plant grouping of multiple plants to individual plants ? This only happens when my design layer view is rotated.
  5. With Vectorworks 2016 I can place a plant, add the tag Quantity-ID and it displays as expected. Vectorworks 2017 I do the same and get the correct quantity but the ID displays as "0". Any helpful ideas? Thanks.
  6. Hi all, I am now trying to use the built in plant database and plant record system. I have created a lot of plants and everything seems to work well. I have one plant that shows on my planting schedule worksheet under column =('Plant Record'.'Symbol') with the wrong "Symbol", the only place I can see to change it is under the plant ID but when I do that it has no effect. I see no place to change the plant record "symbol". Any ideas? If I select the symbol and look in the object info data tab it shows under plant record (read only) , its the first line but I see no place I can edit that. I understand I can pull the plant ID instead of =('Plant Record'.'Symbol') but want to know why this doesn't work. Thanks.
  7. Sorry if this has been asked but will VW 2015 take advantage of multithreaded processors, other than just renderworks?
