Jim... it appears only to be doing this on this one drawing... it is a complicated light plot and I suspect the issue is with the symbols and grouping them... I have had issues where the scrollers move at a different rate than the fixtures .. so maybe I'm asking the wrong questions .. or looking at the wrong problem .. it's also imported from VW14... for what that's worth .. attached is the file ... it appears that VW17 treats groups differently than a selection of objects when using the ZOOM TO OBJECT button ... when I select a group and click ZOOM TO OBJECT it zooms to a random display of the screen which includes the groups (in this case in the lower left quadrant) but it also includes a bunch of the drawing that is not part of that group... if I click on edit the group and select those items as a bunch of objects it zooms to just show the limits of the objects (as one would expect with ZOOM TO OBJECTS).. is there something I'm missing? this is the method I use to view each page of a multi page print out for error checking and editing .. so this is very frustrating feature to have behave differently than before...

So . . what I'm hearing is that there is no way to stop, disable or alter this "feature" and the best we can is live with it? luckily only half our shows are done in a black box with a lighting grid
