  1. Like a lot of us - we simply gone back to 8.5.2 and will await the upgrade for 9. As with many of us, we have all pulled some hair out with 9 - the potential is just great with all its new tools etc, but it is just a lemon until the upgrade comes. So don't worry to much if you can't get it all to work - won't be long now till the upgrade
  2. On a slightly bigger rock waaaay down south, I to have been a VW for a few years now. I love the product and love the potential of VW9 and Architect. I have had to many problems with VW9 so have gone back to 8.5.2 and will bide my time - whew - just a few more weeks to wait for the upgarde. Just be patient - From a reasonable contented user.
  3. Can anyone point me in right direction? I wish to purchase Renderworks, or should I purchase Artlantis. Which would be better as I do not want to buy both.
  4. VW Architect update 1.0.1 All I get when trying to install is a message stating that it can not find a registered copy in this computer. I know I have a registered copy - does it have something to do with the fact that I have a version slightly different (New Zealand) as the serial code has NZ in it and the update is an American based version? HELP
  5. I see what you are all talking about now. Getting real sick and tired of those crash's. If wasn't for the fact that I have many many hours tied up in jobs and the fact that they won't export back to 8.5.2, I have got to stick it out. PLEASE hurry up with the updated version of VW9 and Architect1
  6. I've been tearing my hair out with 9.0 as well. I totally agree with you all. I'm trying to stick it out as the next update is only 2 or 3 weeks away
  7. Don't feel alone - we are all getting crash's even us PC users with 9.0.
  8. aaaaarrrgggghhhhh. Oh god VW9 & Architect - where does one start. Crashes and all those warnings that crop up. Hope the revised is MUCH better. VW8.5.2 looks sooooo good.
  9. Heather, As Doug said, it is the same for a PC. I have VW9+Architect and it works fine on PC Nudge Nudge Wink Wink
  10. I agree with PeterT. Adobe Acrobat is a great way to create files to be sent via. email. It also reduces a mcd by about 75% so that emailing is easier with smaller files. I have also noted that many of my clients who are internet able, have Adobe Reader (or soon tell them to download it) so they can view my drawings. One other bonus is because the Adobe pdf files are smaller they take less time to print. I now save all my files for printing as pdf files then print.
  11. I am a VW9+Architect user with at least 2 years on VW8etc.(Renderworks soon I hope) I to have built up a lot of symbols (people etc). I'm sick to see a few people and company's trying to forward stuff for a cost. I to would love to see some sort of trading post set up - i.e. you must contribute to get some new stuff, irrelevant of size or how good it is - at least the store is always being topped up with new stuff. Are we not here to help or advise others and make all the other CAD systems look like poor cousins. I have 30 odd well detailed 2D people to trade. (Trade for other symbols) Drop me a line at abernethyr@xtra.co.nz ------------------
  12. I have noticed a lot of you having problems with VW and Macs. I use VW9 + Architect on a PC (undo set to 75) and it runs great. Dare I suggest PC's are not all that bad?
  13. On a PC - hold down Shift then use the arrow keys on the keyboard. I do use VW9+Architect, despite the bugs quote: Originally posted by towerpro: I cant seem to get the nudge command working the way I like in VW9. I know the keystroke combo has changed, but now it seems to move one pixel at a time at a set scale, and 10 or more pixels at other layer scales. Also when I hold the nudge command it will not repeat itself to move continuosly as I have the keys pressed. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. ------------------
