I'm having a problem with workgroup Libraries in 2024. I get the libraries to load in the resource browser but if I restart the software it gets stuck on restart. I copied the folder structure from the application and have it saved on a server as I did with 2022. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Can someone get me the procedures for setting up the workgroup libraries in 2024?

I'm wondering if I have the workgroup library setup correctly. There seems to be a problem with it loading. Does anyone have a copy of the correct folder setup to get workgroups working for 2024?

I've installed Vectorworks 2024 and converted our Office Work group library over and since adding the workgroup library the software takes forever to load up. It seems to get stuck and says it's initializing the rendering system. I'm running a Mac Book Pro M1 Max with 32 gb of memory. Mac OS Ventura 13.6.1 Has anyone else had this issue or have a fix or work around?

I'm trying to get an overhead door Width to show up in my door schedule. The Height is showing correctly but the width does not. Is there anyway to get this to show? My schedule is only showing ### for the width

How would you do the same thing for Door Schedules. I have a project with multiple floors. I want to split the schedule so that the ground floor schedule only shows door #'s 500-590. Floor 2 schedule to only show doors 600-690. I get how you would separate the schedules by duplicating them and changing the settings. But what would the criteria change look like. I have all the doors on the ground floor saved to a ground floor door class.

I'm new to Vectorworks and just getting started. When creating Room Finish schedules is there a way to keep the schedule from showing your finish in brackets (). I'd like to just see the simple finish text only. It seems like it should be an easy setting to adjust. thanks. Room Finish schedule.pdf

My 2017 custom title blocks will not work in the Sheet border tool in 2018. Anyone have a fix to get the Titleblocks to work. We use to be able to copy the title block into the standard sheets Library and now this doesn't work anymore.

Pat, You Saved the day. That did the trick worked perfectly. Do you have any idea why the ID tags for the doors might not rotate horizontal? I have the setting for horizontal checked in the door settings. Something happens after I insert the door into the curtain wall and get all my settings plugged in for the door that I want. I save the curtain wall as a symbol and then place it in a wall and the ID tag stays fixed and will not rotate.

I have a project with a lot of Curtain Walls With Doors. I Created the Curtain Wall using the wall tool and inserted a door, Then turned the entire curtain wall assembly into a symbol so it could be added into a standard wall. When I create my door Schedules the doors do not show. How can I make this work? Also the Door ID Tags do not rotate horizontal even with the horizontal setting checked.

Okay how do you create the custom profile so that I can use it over and over again, or modify to make another deck profile?

What is everyone doing to model Metal Roof Decking? Got a Project that has Metal Open web Steel Joist and I want to show a 1 1/2" metal Roof Deck on top of that.

Yeah I was talking about the frame. I don't see any way to do it. It would be nice to get that worked into the next version though. We do a lot of commercial masonry structures and the 4" head frame with 2" jambs is kind of common.

I'm adding doors to my plan and I have some doors that are going to have 2" wide frames at the jambs but at the head I need it to be 4". how would one go about doing this?

Has anyone got a good tutorial for creating a barrel dormer using the basic roof tools in vector works. I would think that this would be easy to do with the BAT Dormer but I just can't seem to figure out what the setting need to be to make it work.

I'm having a problem with the doors in 2009. I got my floor plans drawn the way I want them to look. then started to create my model and now the doors are showing the wall lines in the openings even though that option is not checked. Anyone else had this problem?

But now after I have given everything some heights and got my model going the doors are showing the wall lines in the openings even though that option is not checked. Any one else had this issue.

Got it fixed. I had to uncheck the use wall depth and then make sure the jamb depth setting was set to 0". It would not work with the use wall depth option. I 'am using Architect 2009. on a mac using 10.5.7

I've got the use wall thickness box checked. I also have the same arched opening with the same settings in a straight wall and it shows fine. Anyone seen this before?

I'm trying to cut an arched opening in a curved wall but I keep getting some extra objects projecting at the jamb sides of the opening. Anyone know why this is happening. I've attached an image. thanks

I see how it makes floor truss but not a pitched roof truss

Anybody got suggestions on how to model a large steel open web roof truss?

I got a project and I need to model some very large open web steel trusses does any one have a suggestion on the best way to do these.
