Sure. These are the steps I used - there might be a more efficient way: 1) Find the icon on the start menu - right click - select "More" - and select "Open File Location" 2) In the explorer window that opens - right click on the Vectorworks shortcut file - and select "Properties" 3) At the bottom of that screen you should see "Change Icon" 4) Navigate to the .ico file you want to use. (lots of free .ico converters online). DONE

I just realized not as hard on Windows 10 as I thought. Should have tried to fix this myself years ago.

Why is the Snapping Pallet prohibited from docking like all the other pallets?? I just want it inline near my attributes pallet - but I am forced to dock it up in the settings or down at the bottom where it takes up so much more room because it shrinks the working screen by a 1/4" all the way across. What possible reason could there be for this pallet not work like the attributes pallet, the tool pallets, the OI pallet, the navigation pallet, the resource pallet - all these different types of pallets all have similar behavior - expect this one strange outlier that does it different.

Yeah. All of it is a little over my head. We do not even have a real LAN. With all the remote working - we need to set up a remove server - that people can install. I figure it is not hard to do - but I have some schooling to do.

@Ian Lane I can not find this: C:/Users/*me*/AppData/Local - does not have a VW2021 folder. C:/Program Files/ VW2021 /Workspaces - does not have my custom workspace in it. Where should I look for this file?

Twice in the first couple hours I have had a crash while importing resources into an active document. This latest time was importing a Material from the VW libraries.

That is currently set correctly: But when I press F I get: (all four are there - but the screen shot only got two of them).

I did migrate a workspace - but the fact that F brings up the floating pallet is strange. I went to the quick search settings to set it to F - but there was no setting. Can this be set in the workspace editor?

Excited to try out the quick search - but the F Key does not work as advertised. F key brings up same floating menu option as space bar and middle mouse button. Any ideas what is causing this?

I saw that. It was the first thing I did when I opened 2021. It took way too much trial and error before I got my label working - but I am very happy. Also intrigued by this new relative and associative anchor control that reminds me of the REVIT Families editor. That should be expounded on. Custom parametric objects here we come.

Materials are a new resource in VW 2021. They operate outside of classes and contain both visual attributes and product data.

@Andy Broomell But the Material Resource does not have a section fill option. So if I have a wood floor - the hatch I want to use in plan is different than the one I want to use in section cut. It does not appear that you can control that at the material resource.

Material currently seems to controls fill and texture. Material should also control cut fill.

I know it was a point of contention as some people did not like the new color - but in retrospect - it was really useful for the 3-12 months a year that we are running multiple versions.
