I've just upgraded to 2014 from 2010 and I'm confused by the inventory counts. There seem to be two ways of entering the inventory information and they don't seem to relate to each other; either through the inventory setup in the Generate Paperwork dialogue, or the Lighting Inventory Setup (which is blank until I tediously enter each lantern in the Lighting Symbol Maintenance sheet first.) Do I have to fill in both of these with the same info?

I have exactly the same problem. I've just upgraded from 2010 to 2014 and I'm having trouble getting Find and modify to work. I'm using symbols I originally created in 2010, and they are all described as Light in the device type drop down, yet they can't be seen by F&M unless I select them, change them to Other and then back to Light again. Since they are initially imported as symbols and then converted to instruments in the document, what am I doing wrong?

Any news yet on 2010 and Mavericks?

When I try to insert an instrument the instrument insertion tool deselects and the 2d symbol insertion tool selects; then I get a message telling me I should be inserting this symbol in a wall. Makes me want to insert my mac in a window... The infuriating thing is that this happened to me last year and I found a solution to this problem here, and now I can't find it, so forgive me for repeating a previously asked question. using Spotlight VW 2008 on a Mac running OSX 10.4.12
