carpalmer
HI, WORKING WITH A NEW PARTNER WHO'S AN ACAD USER AND TRYING TO "MATCH" HIS DRAFTING STANDARDS WITH VECTORWORKS. I DO MY PLANS ON VW 10.5.1 AND ADJUST ALL MY LINE WEIGHTS AND COLORS PER HIS STANDARDS. EVERYTING COMES OUT GOOD EXCEPT FOR MY BLOCK (MASONRY)WALLS. THESE ARE DRAWN ON VW USING CAVITIES TO SHOW THE BLOCK AND THE CORRESPONDING INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR FINISH LINES. I CAN ADJUST THE LINE WEIGHTS TO GET THE OUTSIDE LINES (OUTLINE) THICKER THAN THE INTERIOR BLOCK LINES BUT THE CAVITIES CONTROL BOX DOES NOT ALLOW FOR A COLOR ADJUSTEMENT. SO EVEN THOUGH IN VW THEY HAVE DIFFERENT THICKNESSES, THEY HAVE THE SAME COLOR, SO WHEN EXPORTED TO ACAD THEY COME OUT WITH EQUAL THICKNESSES AND DO NOT LOOK RIGHT (INTERIOR LINES ARE LOST SINCE THEY ARE OVERLAPED WITH OUTLINE LINES). ANY IDEAS TO GET OVER THIS? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted July 5, 2004 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 5, 2004 Try adjusting the color of the hatches in the Define Hatch dialog box. PS: I recommend not using "all caps" to post to this list. Almost everyone here uses standard capitalization, and "all caps" makes it look like you're shouting..... Quote Link to comment
carpalmer
Thanks Robert. Your suggestion takes care of the hatch color, but does not help in changeing the color the cavity lines are drawn in (these are set to the color of the wall by default)... Quote Link to comment
