JR Merrick AIA
What a bizarre graphic twist to find bullnose ends on lines in the PC environment. For thick graphic lines this is particularly problematic. Please make all lines end in a crisp rectangle like Office Draw, VW Mac, and every other graphics program. At least provide a toggle if some users are attached to the bullnose. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted March 1, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 1, 2003 This is an issue only if you're using *really heavy* line weights. May I suggest that for situations where you'd use such lines, you instead use a filled double-polygon which will give you the square-ended precision you want, when used with a small pen size. There is irony in your request. What you are requesting is for square "pens" instead of round pens, like the square pens supported by the Quickdraw graphics subsystem on the Macintosh. However, many Mac users would prefer round pens! Why? Because square pens differ in their line weight depending on the angle. They can be as much as 1.414 times their "actual" line weight. Round pens do not display this limitation. Quote Link to comment
Guest
On a PC, the lines are rounded. A Mac uses square pens. These are both operating specific settings rather than a VW specific issue. If you look in other PC programs, such as Paint and so forth, you will notice the same rounded behavior. Quote Link to comment
