ErichR Posted August 8, 2002 Share Posted August 8, 2002 Exporting to DWG and DXF doesn't appear to be that successful. Text gets offset vertically (and sometimes horizontally. Text is sometimes rotated to be backwards or upside down Dashed lines end up solid. Fills disappear. We use both VW and ACad, and VW gets very bad press as a result of these issues. Matthew Giampapa Posted August 9, 2002 Share Posted August 9, 2002 ErichR, We actually are one of the better programs at translating AutoCAD documents, each version of VectorWorks is much better than the last was at translating these files. If you are seeing these problems in version 9. Please email in an example file so we can fix the problems. If there are simply special settings that need to be used we will let you know.
