rgrkitect
Hello to all ,as a new VW user I have just created a new window symbol that sits on a corner. E corner window . I can't seam to place it where I want it but mostly only one of the walls makes a hole the other remains intact . Am I missing some step or is it impossible to make a window that sits on two walls at 90 degrees to each other? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted February 28, 2002 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 28, 2002 In VectorWorks, windows are "owned" by walls and are only aware of (and therefore can only cut) the wall that "owns" them. The way to do corner windows is to create a symbol that is half a corner window (only one jamb, head and sill mitered, etc.) and insert that in both walls. Then you can use the Position button on the Object Info palette to place the sym right out at the end of the wall. Quote Link to comment
michaelcobb
Just started tinkering with a corner window symbol of my own making and realize there is a lot of flexibility there (as well as a lot of sweat equity). Actually having some problems getting that corner window to come right to the corner even using the position button in the OIP to force it. It doesn't seem to want to go any farther that the center line interesection with the other wall. Any more advice on the fine points of cornere windows is appreciated. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
