ErichR
V12 and 12.0.1 crash upon trying to make a class invisible, or when tyring to delete a certain class. Is this a possible bug, or can a corrupted file cause this response? Quote Link to comment
Guest
Erich, Does the same thing happen in a new document? What error message did you recieve? Are you using Mac or PC? Quote Link to comment
ErichR
Seems to be isolated to a single file. Once, there was an out of memory message when trying to process a final quality Renderworks. "...encountered a problem..." message usually. WXP Dual core 4GB RAM Quote Link to comment
Guest
What type of crash/error message do you get when you go to delete a class? Quote Link to comment
ErichR
"...encountered a problem..." message usually. This file is a v11 legacy, and is fairly complex. It was somehow corrupted before, resurrected through a workgroup referencing workaround, and since starting this thread, resurrected yet again. (Resources were upgraded to the current version.) Maybe the question should be, why is the file corrupting? It's a bit annoying for the time it takes to straighten things out. [ 02-27-2006, 07:59 PM: Message edited by: ErichR ] Quote Link to comment
Guest
It's likely the file corruption did not get completely cleared when using the workgroup referencing option. I suggest sending the file to tech@ where we can peel the drawing down in an attempt to find the problem, fix the file and send it back. Quote Link to comment
ErichR
Wow. That would be a great service. But I'm torn between thinking that the WGR band-aid approach is working (and the need to use the file), and the probable need to get this fixed. What would the turn-around time be? Guest
Erich, It depends on how bad the file is, but we can usually have something back within one business day. Quote Link to comment
