Working with Database

Hey everyone.

I'm using VW 11.5 and I would like to know how can I connect a DB (for example,FileMaker.. i think) using the VW11_5_0SDK. My goal is to extract some data stored in the DB and use it in VW. IE: store some objects and import them in vector using a toolbar that I developed.

Used to do this all the time and wrote a FM DB to had all the transactions via AppleScript and a TextExport.

1)Write VW script to export the DB as tab or comma text file.

2)Use AS to open & import DB text into FM using a script to harmonize the fields.

Easy and very efficient as long as the field naming & type protocols are consistent.
