Polygon line loss when plotting viewport.

Recommended Posts

I am losing edges of polygons when I plot sheets with viewports. It only happens on polygons that are in a viewport. Most of the polygon will plot put intermitent edges do not plot. It is dependent on vertexes as an edge will plot between two vertexes and not between the next two. It appears fine on screen and if I plot the original layers and not the viewport it plots just fine. I have changed the sheets dpi setting to 120 with no changes. I have tweaked the viewport's line weight scale and it has no effect. I have changed the original polygon's class, line wt, color, etc. to no avail... All classes are turned to visible on the sheet. The polygons are well within the crop edge.

I have changed the plotter's settings but they have no effect. I am pretty sure it is a Vectorworks issue as when I convert the polygon to lines it will print.

Any ideas?

thx

Already did. Email from you dated 5/12:

"Ray,

I am working with the engineer regarding the printing issue."

Ray - (et all)

This was a driver issue with HP DesignJet driver 4.65. It involved

lines disappearing inside a non-rectangular clipping region. HP said

they were able to reproduce it and that it would be fixed in the next

release. Increasing the line weight may be a

workaround. Rasterize printing is also a workaround.
