Jean-Marc
I just opened a 10.0.1 file in 10.1, and to my dismay, the settings and placement for all my text callouts have changed. As well, drawing labels have all rescaled. What the heck is going on? I'm looking at several hours to reset everything . Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted March 11, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 11, 2003 We're trying to track down a bug that causes documents opened in 10.1 but saved in previous versions to have inconsistent scaling of page-scale objects. Before you spend any time, however, try this: Choose the command "Create Plug-in" from the Organize menu. When the dialog opens, close it by clicking the Done button. All the objects in your drawing should now display properly. Give this a try before you make any manual changes, as it's LOTS faster.... Quote Link to comment
Guest
This is a known refresh issue in Vw 10.1. All you need to do is go to Organize>Scripts>Create Plugin. Do nothing in the dialog box. Click on the DONE button. This will take a moment to run - so don't panic and think the program is frozen. It may take up to 10 minutes depending on what's in the specific file. This will regenerate all plugin objects, including the callouts and labels and any other PIOs affected. Once this is done, save the file. This is a one time fix for each file. You should not need to rerun this unless you export the file back to VW 9 and convert it back in VW 10.1. Quote Link to comment
Jean-Marc
I just tried this a couple of times, but it didn't work. Does the fact that I worked on and saved the drawings before using the plugin command compromise my ability to reset the objects? Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted March 11, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 11, 2003 If you still have the old version of the document that displays the error when opened in 10.1, please send me a copy. Quote Link to comment
