Mada Yllut Posted April 29, 2004 Share Posted April 29, 2004 I'm attempting to import a DWG Autocad file R14. The file is of a exhibition stand in 3d form. Not all of the model imports? Walls, parts of furniture missing. Why is this? Please Help! I'm running Vectorworks 10 on mac. Adam. Quote Link to comment
Guest Posted April 29, 2004 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Objects in a viewport will not open in VW 10 or earlier. Objects that are xref'd also won't open. Of the objects missing are in the AC file as one of the above, they won't import. The AC person will need to undo that before sending it to you. Quote Link to comment
kd_archdesign Posted April 30, 2004 Share Posted April 30, 2004 Mada, I just received my copy of VW 11 and Importing and Exporting 3D modles between VW and ACAD is drmatically improved. VW 11 now supports the .sat file format which is ACAD's native 3D format, so models 3D sold models come across one-to-one. Quote Link to comment
