EugP
Hi, I work at a university that has very tight network security. This means I do not have write privilege to the C drive of my workstation, where VW preferences are saved. As a result I am unable to save any workspaces or other settings and must rebuild them every time the program is started. Does anyone know of a solution for this issue? Is there an administrative function that would tell the program to save preferences to a network profile location? (The network admins would like this best) Is it possible to temporarily build a workspace, save it when an administrator is present to allow local writing, then dis-allow the write privileges for the local user and still have the program work? Thanks for any help, Sincerely, Eugene Palmer University of California at Berkeley Quote Link to comment
Guest
Most of the information is stored in the registry and the workspaces are saved to the VW WOrkspaces folder. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to have the workspaces folder saved somewhere other than the VW workspaces folder. Quote Link to comment
