Grant Posted January 20, 2004 Share Posted January 20, 2004 Hi guys, I am writing this on behalf of my brother in law who uses Vectorworks 8.5. He is looking at upgrading his computer soon. Does Vectorworks 8.5 run on Win XP? Also, he is looking at an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro graphics card, is this a good card for running Vectorworks, he mainly uses Vectorworks for House Design. Guest Posted January 20, 2004 Share Posted January 20, 2004 VW 8.5 is not officially signed for use with WinXP, however there haven't been any reported issues with it. That video card should be fine if you are using VW 8 and not doing heavy duty renderings. Even then, the renderings may just take longer with that vid card. Quote Link to comment

Any of the "new" video cards, released within the past few years, are really good cards. I don't know exact model names and numbers, but if you go to the primary video card manufacturer websites, they have detailed descriptions of each model. Quote Link to comment
