VincentCuclair
OK, so I created a Roof Object with a couple of dormers (Roof Elements) using the Create Roof command, all is well, looks good, time to make a couple of sections = Oooops! !!! Seriously! BIM or Hobby software? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted March 17, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 17, 2015 Post me that roof in a file and I can take a look. (However if it's someone's hobby to cut roof sections then... well I suddenly feel a lot better about my choice in hobbies.) Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted March 18, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) Confirmed here, totally going haywire. While its true there was some minor (clever) trickery used to get these extended dormers, they certainly shouldn't cause the section to be butchered like this. Submitting it now. EDIT: I think the portion on the top left corner of your example image, there the dormer symbol doesn't meet the roof, might only be correctable by editing the symbol's geometry to account for the roof slant, but the other areas i believe need to be fixed on our end.
