Guest Posted January 29, 2003 Share Posted January 29, 2003 i've just installed VW8.5 at home and find that the "cross" cursor for moving an object + the diagonal double headed arrow cursor for warping/manipulating an object doesn't work. i.e. the cross doesn't change to the double arrow when you hover over a handle. i can still warp things but the cursor remains as a cross, making things rather hit + miss as to which action is going to take place. i've uninstalled + reinstalled VW from scratch, changed both video + mouse drivers, tried different screen resolutions, 'safe' mode, the works.... VW 8.5, win2k, 384mb ram, 1024x768 - 32 video anyone have any experience of this? gideon Quote Link to comment

Guest Posted January 30, 2003 Share Posted January 30, 2003 yes, i can manipulate and move objects, but it's tricky because as the cursor does not indicate, you never know which effect is going to take place. on the same problem, i notice that sometimes when using the "line" tool i get the "text" cursor, although the line function works correctly... and sometimes i get the little square cursor <manipulate polygon> inside a text edit or object info palette it's weird gideon Quote Link to comment
Guest Posted January 30, 2003 Share Posted January 30, 2003 Check the video card. Make sure you have the most recent version as present on the manufacturer's website. Also, update to VW 8.5.2 via our downloads page on the website. Quote Link to comment
