scheven_architect
How can I make Vectorworks 2014 show linepatterns (different dashed lines) in the dropdown menu of the attribute palette? http://imgur.com/iZdaRQD Edited September 15, 2014 by scheven_architect Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 15, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 15, 2014 Change the line style to Line Type instead of Solid, then click the option below and you will see them. scheven_architect
Yes I know, but this is so unconvenient in comparison to the method I posted a screenshot off. Is this because of the more complicated patterns. My dad is used to the above method where you can select thickness and linepattern at once and since the update from 2010 to 2014 this is driving him nuts as most of these patterns are hardly ever used compared to the normal dashed linetypes. Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 15, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 15, 2014 It was done so that they could be stored as a resource, where before they were stuck in the Dash Styles embedded in a file and couldn't easily be moved from one document to another. However, I had added a reversion option for the interface as a request after coming across this: https://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=184305&Searchpage=3&Main=37358&Words=dash&Search=true#Post184305 I will add this thread to the case.
