scheven_architect
How do I make a section viewport out of the section drawn with the section elevation marker tool? I thought this tool would create a section like revit or archicad does. But it seems I have to draw a section viewport which is double work... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 8, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 8, 2014 I think it is normally done the opposite way, where the section viewport is created and then marked in elevation. However, it seems there should be an automated way of creating multiple elevation marks on commonly marked points, I'll ask around. Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
Hi Niels, To create a section, use the "Create Section Viewport" under the VIEW pull-down. You have the option to show the marker with the section on your sheet layer. To show the marker in plan view, go to your sections sheet and click on the viewport that contains your section, down at the bottom of the Object Info Palette, choose "Section Line Instances", then choose the Viewports" tab whereupon you'll be able to choose which plan(s) to show your markers on. scheven_architect
Thank you! Maybe an improvement to sections could be autoupdate? Just a small thing that makes the experience a bit smoother. Quote Link to comment
