mikec715
Hello, I've upgraded recently to Vectorworks 2014 and Windows 8.1 32 bit as well. My PC: Intel Core 2 6300 @ 1.86 4GB Ram DDR2 Intel Q965/963 Dell P2210H The problem is that it works quite slow and when I open large files like 30mb it nightmare - waiting like 10-30 sec for response. On official website, computer requirements seems to be lower than my computer. Thanks Mike Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted May 14, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 14, 2014 Your graphics card looks to be a very old integrated Intel model, which is well below the recommended standards for Vectorworks and would definitely behave that way. You would want a dedicated graphics card with its own RAM: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1139/Video+Card+%7B47%7D+Graphics+Card+Guidelines+for+Vectorworks+-+11-06-2013 Quote Link to comment
mikec715
Hi, Thanks a lot for reply. What graphic card should I buy to my computer then? What would be the minimum graphic card that is needed for 2014 version? Thanks Mike Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted May 15, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 15, 2014 If youre buying a card to use with Vectorworks, I would recommend not lower than 1GB dedicated video RAM, and it needs to support OpenGL 2.1 standard or higher. There are too many cards to list them all here, but in general the GeForce 560 series (and newer) should be fine, same with the ATI brand equivalents. Quote Link to comment
