I would like to see the introduction of a lock function for layers.
When locked no objects on the layer can be physically edited or deleted.
(Options for locking visibility etc. would be nice too but are of secondary importance.)
(Options for adding new objects to the locked layer while locked would be nice too, the idea being that any existing objects are 'protected' however the layer can still be 'used' e.g. a Layer containing walls that is locked keeps existing wall positions from actually being moved however adding new walls is still possible, similarly adding doors and windows is still possible in layer locked walls.).
