shr
I'm forever having to reset my workspace because I accidentally drag out the palettes. Is there a setting to lock the palettes location and size? Quote Link to comment
Farookey
Hi there... I don't know if there is a setting, but you can do this to sort it out before you launch Vectorworks... -With VW open, and the palettes placed where and how you want to see them, quit VW. -Go to your [user folder] > Settings, and copy the 'SavedSettings.xml' file to another (easy to find) location. -Now, if you have misplaced the palettes, resized them or whatever: BEFORE LAUNCHING VW, you can copy this 'backed-up' file and replace it in your user folder. So, on launch you should have you preferred, 'saved', palette settings (and position). You can maybe make an Automation of this to ease yourself before launching VW... If I find another way to save these settings, I'll let you know. But, this method works, and you do not have to reset workspace or anything. Let us know how it goes... Quote Link to comment
shr
thanks. however, I have set up a workspace preference. this is what i select when I reset the palettes, but it's just annoying that they aren't locked because I accidentally grab and drag them. Quote Link to comment
