Mark Taylor
Is there a way to back up the Vectorworks Preferences and then restore them later? Edited March 4, 2011 by Mark Taylor Quote Link to comment
Farookey
Hi there Mark... As far as I know, the Vectorworks Preferences are saved each time you quit Vectorworks, making them available the next time you launch again. Once you have your desired prefs, you can quit Vectorworks and locate the 'Vectorworks Preferences.xml' file in your User Folder, and copy this to another location, as a 'back-up'. When you are ready to use these prefs again, simply replace the existing prefs (in your User Folder), with the backed-up one. Ensure that Vectorworks has not yet been launched before replacing, or else your current settings would overwrite the backed-up one (which you replaced with) on quit. Locate your User Folder by going into the 'User Folders' tab in 'Vectorworks Preferences', and click 'Reveal in Finder'. Once in your User Folder, open the 'Settings' folder. You should see the .xml file mentioned. I hope this answers your question... Let us know... Quote Link to comment
