screen/ layer plane access in 2010 and 2011

Hi ,

I have used VW for some time though just started working in 3D. So a simple question someone might be able to help with.

I am using a "Fundamentals 2010"..... but possibly about to upgrade to architect/ or Designer 2011 and have been checking the 2011 evaluation.

Question- in my 2010 version I have very restricted ability to switch screen plane / layer plane / working plane dependant on tool active- ie 2D /3D.

In the 2011 Designer Evaluation not so .

Would anyone be aware if this relates to my using "Fundamentals" version in 2010 ---or an improved facility with 2011.

the information on specifics relating to each version is somewhat vague .

You are correct, 2D and 3D are much more inter-related in 2011. For instance, notice that in 2011 there is only one Selection Tool.
