How do i punch holes in a 3D flat wall?

Recommended Posts

Create a new Class call it like Hole_object_that_i_dont_want_to_see_anymore

Put the Symbol on this Class by selcting it and place it on the new Class

through the Object info Palette.

Then set the previously created Class that contains the Hole Object to invisible

in the Naviagtion Palette.

Make shure, that the Class with the Hole Object is not the active one!

that should do it.

There are other methods too.

I attach a File that was created during the other discussion.

May be someone who reads this has a smarter idea, that doesn't produce the render problem which is caused by the segmentation ...

Classe are like stacked Sheets of tranparent Paper.

You can switch them on-off or grey them in the navigation Palette.

Your Class called none with tick by it ist the active Class,

which means that everythink you draw is on that Class.

Left from the tick you can klick to switch classes to ivisible.

But it will only become invisible when it is not active=the one wiht the tick.

I would like to suggest, that you go through some of the Videotutorials

to see the Basic Concepts of Layers and Classes in VW.

I think this gives you much faster overview than a lot of text.

May this helps:
