Rotating a Viewport

I have a referenced viewport on a Design layer.

In the original file I have a Section Viewport on a sheet layer.

My problem is that I cannot rotate the DLVP (except in the Z axis) as it keeps telling me that hybrid obect can only be rotated in the Z axis.

Is there a way of not importing the Section line, which is causing the problem, into the DLVP so that the referenced viewport is not a hybrid object or is there a work around that would help?

If you don't wan to import a section line.

Put the section line in it's own layer or class or both in the source drawing.

Then don't include it in the viewport reference.

However, I don't know if this will solve your problem.
