File-format compatability between VW 9 and VW 8.5

I have several Macs running VectorWorks 8.5.2, with the RenderWorks plug-in. We just purchased another copy for a new Mac, and received v9 because that's what's available now.

My question regards compatability of file format between the two versions. Can a document saved in VW9 be opened in VW 8.5.2? Are there any issues to be aware of?
