t3aztec
I just upgraded from 11 to 2008. I was hoping the 08 had a feature where you can render a light beam. I see where you can click on Draw beam and in wireframe it shows it. But when I render it's not on or there. What am I doing wrong. And intelligent lighting, is there a way to get gobos and colors etc... Quote Link to comment
Guest Frank Brault
Access the built-in light object in VectorWorks' Lighting Device objects by right-clicking or control-clicking with a single button mouse on the desired Lighting Device and choosing 'Edit Light' from the context menu. Then render with RenderWorks Final Quality Rendering to see the resulting light. Hint: be sure to uncheck the Draw beam and draw 3D beam geometry checkboxes-they interfere with the rendered light. Access the Gobo feature from the Light Info tab of the 'Edit' context menu. Access the Shutter feature from the Shutters tab of the 'Edit' context menu Quote Link to comment
BHunter
Check the "lit fog" button in the OIB. Then you can go into the background properties and edit the opacity and density of the fog. Your beams and gobos should show no problem. Bob Hunter 315 Design Solutions Atlanta, Ga. VW 12.5.3 Quote Link to comment
t3aztec
Thank you guys! I don't understand why they can't make it easier. One step you forgot, You have to use the Instrument insert tool, I tried, just dragging it off of the resource browser and it was just a 3D/2D object, took a while to figure that out. cad@sggsa
t3aztec, are you saying that when you add a gobo you now have to add a light seperate. In VW12 you add a gobo with light attached. Quote Link to comment
Jim_Allen
If you don't use the insertion tool you can also go to: modify Convert Convert to instrument Quote Link to comment
