nick19
Is it possible to add (and remove for that matter) vertices to a 3D mesh? I feel like it must be, but can't find any mention in the help or any of the references my office has. I must be missing something fundamental and basic here... but I am missing it. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks, -Nick Quote Link to comment
Gytis
Meshes are pretty difficult to work with and are generally to be avoided. If you double-click (i.e. edit) a mesh, you see that it is a bunch of 3D polygons. You can delete entire polygons, but not individual vertices. You can move individual vertices by selecting with a marquee begun outside of mesh. Depending on what you are trying to achieve, use various 3D Modeling and Powerpack tools. If you are importing something that becomes a mesh (ie Sketchup objects), it gets kinda tough to edit, as far as I know. Quote Link to comment
nick19
Thanks for help. Though it's too bad that it isn't easier to manipulate the vertices. I've developed the habit of making quick models that way in other environments... Guess I'll just have to learn new habits! -Nick Quote Link to comment
