wvancampen
I can't get the "Use Part Line Styles" options in the Door & Window Settings/View dialog box to work. The settings remain those of the Attributes palette. Any suggestions? MacBookPro 2.33GHz/2GB RAM Mac OS 10.5.2 VectorWorks Architect 2008 SP2 Quote Link to comment
Don@Black Dog
Set a Style class to the attributes you want (line thickness, whatever) and make sure the Graphic Attributes is checked for Use at Creation. On the view page of the settings set the item to the Style class you want to use (this is probably what you were doing). This should over ride the Attributes. Quote Link to comment
wvancampen
"Special Classes" works when rendered (how does it work in wireframe?). But checking "Use Part Line Styles" still has no effect. I'm a little confused--"this is probably what you were doing" is correct, but implies I should be doing something else. Thanks in advance. wvancampen
I think I figured it out. The door/window pen attribute for style and thickness have to be set to NOT be the class style (or, referring to blackdogarch, "Use At Creation" should be UNCHECKED). Then "Use Part Line Styles" works. Why this additional step is necessary is mysterious to me (ie why can't "Use..." just override the class attributes?).
