Custom Standard Viewports?

Is there a way to create a custom standard viewport? Or is there a way to edit standard viewports?

Anyone have any experience with Standards?

We looked into Standards and found the system to be too inflexible to be of any use to us.

really? I figured I could use it to make custom sheets which would create standard viewports with the layers, classes, and class attributes that I need. I seem to be making some good progress. I'll let you know how it works out.

Custom/Standard is a non sequitur.

Max, from memory (it's a couple of months since I looked at it) one of the biggest problems is that using Standards, you can only create one sheet of a particular type, which is an issue when you need to create several sheets of a particular type to cover the total site. There were some other things too but I can't remember what they were offhand.

Erich - you're right, but in this context, we want to create an office standard, which is a customisation of the VW standards, so it works

Can you further explain what you mean by

I was able to create a Standard Viewport which allowed me to include custom classes and custom design layers. I was also able to edit how other layers and classes were effected by the default standard viewports.

I don't know if I can play with this again until next week but, i will be sure to keep you informed.
