Imported PDF problems

Hello,

I am a new user to vectorworks but not to CAD software. My problem is when importing a .pdf file it is not visible until zooming in incredibly close or very far out. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. The lines do show up but I believe are so fine that they don't register until zoomed in completely on the object. Any thoughts, idea's greatly appreciated.

If this is a pressing issue, I recommend contacting Tech Support directly.

Please include the version of VW and OS version for further assistance here.

No problem I'm using:

Vectorworks 12.5.2

MAC OS 10.2.11

Not a pressing matter just would like to see if anyone has run into this and if they found a way to fix it.

OSX 10.2.11 ... well that sorta explains the problem.

OSX is now in v10.5 ... 10.3 Panther was a major upgrade from 10.2.

Tiger 10.4++ is considered to be ideal version for 12.5.2.

Core Foundation & Core Image were introduced in Tiger which work via Quartz in 12.5.2.

Get thee upgraded and avoid the PDF / Imaging issues. You'll be glad that you did.

OS 10.2 isn't supported using VW 12.5 and later.

Oh sorry about that. I must have had my finger on the wrong key and then didn't proof read. I'm using:

MAC OSX 10.4.11

Vectorworks 12.5.2

What are the measurements of the PDF after being imported?

What scale are you working with?

Do you have Quartz imaging enabled in VectorWorks Preferences?

Alright, sorry for the delayed response. The PDF size is 144'x96' so naturally it's 1/4" = 1'-0". I do have Quartz imaging enabled, should this make a difference? Thanks once again you all are great.

Try turning Quartz imaging off and see if the problem persists.
