raidfibre Posted December 3, 2007 Share Posted December 3, 2007 I have a solid to which I need to create a tapered extrude and add. I draw a 3D poly on the working plane (closed) and attempt to do a tapered extrude. It fails with the exceedingly helpful message: "Tapered extrude creation failed due to invalid parameter(s) for at least one profile object." The 3d poly is closed, I've tried re-drawing it several times, it only has 4 vertices (it's a rectangle) I've drawn the same thing on a new blank drawing and it extrudes correctly. I'm only trying to extrude this one single rectangular object. Is there any way to figure out what's wrong? Also how can I change the view so that I am looking straight down the normal to the working plane? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford Posted December 3, 2007 Share Posted December 3, 2007 I don't know about the tapered extrude. It seems to work fine for me here. Try making it in Plan view and then rotating as needed? Check out the Working Planes palette. It has a button that will let you view the working plane face on. Pat Quote Link to comment
